Ingredients

  • 300g ziti or penne pasta 
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 
  • 1 onion, chopped 
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced 
  • 1 bottle Sunny Pasta Sauce 
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese 
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese 
  • ½ cup grated parmesan (optional) 
  • Salt & pepper to taste 
  • Fresh basil or parsley (optional) 

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. 
  2. Cook pasta until al dente, drain and set aside. 
  3. In a pan, heat oil and sauté onion and garlic until soft. 
  4. Add Sunny Pasta Sauce, season, and simmer for 5–10 mins. 
  5. In a bowl, mix cooked pasta with ricotta and half the mozzarella.
  6. Add the sauce and combine everything well. 
  7. Transfer to a baking dish, top with remaining mozzarella (and parmesan if using).
  8. Bake for 20–25 mins until bubbly and golden on top. 
  9. Garnish with herbs and serve hot!
