Ingredients

For the Chicken Patty

  • 400 g minced chicken
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Assembly

  • Sunny Pasta Sauce
  • 2–4 burger buns
  • 2–4 slices mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Butter (for toasting buns)

Optional Sides

  • Mixed salad
  • Crumbled feta
  • Chips or fries

Instructions

1. Prepare the Chicken Patties

1. In a bowl, combine minced chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper.
2. Mix until well combined.
3. Shape into patties (size according to bun).
4. Refrigerate for 10–15 minutes to firm up (optional but recommended).

2. Cook the Patties

1. Heat a little oil in a pan.
2. Place the patties and cook for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
3. Spoon Sunny Pasta Sauce over each patty.
4. Add a slice of mozzarella/provolone on top.
5. Cover the pan to melt the cheese.

3. Prepare the Buns

1. Lightly butter the burger buns.
2. Toast on a pan until golden.

4. Assemble

1. Spread a spoonful of Sunny Pasta Sauce on the bottom bun.
2. Place the cheesy chicken patty on top.
3. Sprinkle with chopped parsley.
4. Cover with the top bun.

5. Serve

Serve immediately with a side salad, chips, or your favourite sides.
