Ingredients

  • 1 pound mixed mushrooms (such as cremini, shiitake, or oyster), sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated or minced
  • 2-3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Sunny’s Chop Suey Sauce (amount to your taste)
  • Green onions, chopped, for garnish
  • Optional:
    • Soy sauce, to taste
    • Sesame oil, a drizzle

Instructions

  1. First clean and slice one pound of mixed mushrooms, such as cremini, shiitake, or oyster.
  2. Then, peel and slice an onion. Next, peel and mince two cloves of garlic, and peel and grate or mince one tablespoon of ginger.
  3. Heat two to three tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the sliced onion and sauté until softened and translucent.
  5. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook for about one minute until fragrant.
  6. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and begin to brown.
  7. Add Sunny’s Chop Suey Sauce, adjusting the amount to your taste. If desired, add soy sauce to taste for extra saltiness and a drizzle of sesame oil just before finishing.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
