Ingredients
- 1 pound mixed mushrooms (such as cremini, shiitake, or oyster), sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated or minced
- 2-3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Sunny’s Chop Suey Sauce (amount to your taste)
- Green onions, chopped, for garnish
- Optional:
- Soy sauce, to taste
- Sesame oil, a drizzle
Instructions
- First clean and slice one pound of mixed mushrooms, such as cremini, shiitake, or oyster.
- Then, peel and slice an onion. Next, peel and mince two cloves of garlic, and peel and grate or mince one tablespoon of ginger.
- Heat two to three tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced onion and sauté until softened and translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook for about one minute until fragrant.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and begin to brown.
- Add Sunny’s Chop Suey Sauce, adjusting the amount to your taste. If desired, add soy sauce to taste for extra saltiness and a drizzle of sesame oil just before finishing.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
