This recipe is a must try! The combination of the sautéed lamb with Mauritian Vegetable Pickles is just TAMAM!


  • 1 pound boneless lamb
  • 1 big oignon, roughly chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1/2 table spoon oyster sauce
  • 1-2 green chili optional, sliced lengthwise
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • Salt
  • Sunny Vegetable Pickles
  • Bread


  1. Cut the lamb into small pieces
  2. Marinate with  the garlic and ginger paste for at least 30 mins
  3. Heat a flat skillet
  4. Add the chopped lamb
  5. Cover and cook lamb until soft and adding luke warm water as and when needed
  6. Add the cooking oil
  7. Add the soy and oyster sauce and stir well
  8. Add the chopped onions, let it cook for another 2-4 mins and turn off the flame
  9. Season with salt and pepper
  10. Lastly, add the chopped green onions and green chilli
  11. Add your sautéed lamb in your bread together with the vegetable pickle
